Established in 1981 in Ottawa "Nanny's Little" Miniature Schnauzer began with the gift of a puppy from my husband. We are a very small kennel of home breed puppies. We take pride in the fact that we have finished over 13 champions with several of them multiple best of breed and best puppy in group winner and one best puppy in show.
Our puppies are raise in our kitchen were they are with our family and friend were the have lots of people contact and love and attention which it is the most importance to be able to raise a well adjusted puppy that will bring lot of joy to a new family.
We do also grooming in our breed only. The grooming will take time and love due to the fact that I do not rush through it. The attention span of a puppies is very short so we like to make it a pleasant experience which it is the up most importance for a puppies first time.

The Miniature Schnauzer is a breed that do not shed but required regular grooming. They are very active, alert, intelligent dog, and is curiosity sometimes get the better of them.
The Miniature Schnauzer are a great candidates for obedience work due to their responsiveness and intelligence.
They are a breed that adapts to any situation environment. They make excellent pets for children due to their patience and playfulness. Devoted to their family, although they may be small they are very protective.
Miniature Schnauzer are not incessant barker with proper training at an early age. They learn very rapidly what they are taught. They an excellent early warning guard dog.
The Miniature schnauzer was developed in Germany in the 1800's consisting of several different breeds, crossed with the standard schnauzer, for appearance they have cross the standard with Poodles, Affenpinscher or miniature pinschers or maybe another breed.
In the earlier years, the appearance of the miniature schnauzer was much different then that of today. Clean lines and attractive appearance and whiskery muzzle.
The word schnauzer comes from the German term, snout or muzzle.
They were originally breed to hunt mice and rats and are classified as a "ratter".
Our breeding program consists of health test before breeding. We have our stock tested for myotomia and their eyes are tested and certified yearly. We breed for confirmation and temperment. We have one or two litter s twice a year, usually fall and spring. All our dogs are breed to finished champion. We provide, with the puppy, a guaranty of health and pedegree. All our puppies are ckc registered, have their first set of shots and are micro-chiped. Their eyes are slit lamp tested and come with an eyes certificate.
